There Is No Such Thing As An Easy Day

In order to experience fully the riches of our salvation, sometimes we have to get out of our own way.

There is no such thing as an easy day. The easiest of our days was yesterday.

Jesus wants us to experience the joy of being loved constantly and perfectly by Him. Sometimes I make a practice out of judging myself based on how I feel or look, what the past contains, or anxiety about the future. This judgement is suffocating, painstaking, and emotionally, physically, and spiritually draining at times. This judgement is based on fear of rejection, pressure of intimidation, lies of our culture.
In these moments there are times that we can feel a little more worthy if we like what we see in the mirror. When things are going a little smoother or our performance seems adequate, I find that it is easier to believe. It is easier to trust. Easier to have faith. It is easier to continue to thrive and push forward. However, it is the times I feel discouraged that I tend to look inward and doubt. To assess and practice self judgement based on unattainable perfection. To become awakened and shaken by the whispers of the devil.

Instead of trying to "fix" myself or other things in this life along my path, it is Jesus who I should fix my eyes upon each and every single moment of each and every single day. Rather than using my energy to judge myself and my faults, redirecting my eyes to Him brings praise to His name.
Happy happy Monday sweet friends. Today I would love to encourage you to not be defended by the noise of the world or that of your own thinking. Instead, be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Sit in His presence and fix your eyes on Jesus, not your insecurities, fears, or worries of the day. Psalm 61:2 says, "When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the Rock that is higher than I".
"You face your greatest opposition when you're closest to your biggest miracle." -T.D. Jakes
You are more. You are worthy.
