Post-Baby Dates

Now that we’re getting a handle on having baby Henry around, Mr. Lovely and I are doing our best to get out on our own for little dates here and there. We snuck out recently just to grab a cup of tea downtown. I’m not gonna lie, I miss the little guy when we are gone but it also feels so good to have some grownup time and put on makeup and real clothes and shoes with an actual heel. And speaking of heels, my previously swollen preggo feet are so happy to be back in their normal size. To celebrate, I snagged a pair of wedges from the Christian Siriano for Payless from Payless Shoe Source and wore them out to tea time with the husb.

Did you guys watch Project Runway the season that Christian was on? I was obsessed with him. He was constantly my fave, and now I’m pretty pumped (get it?) that he has a line of shoes and bags that you can get for a song! I’m loving all of the pieces — they feel so current and cool but still like something you could wear every day with a whole slew of different looks. The whole line is totally affordable but looks expensive and pretty chic, which you know I love.

So we grabbed some tea (Mr. Lovely got boba! I was sorely tempted but I wanted to cozy up to something hot.) and wandered around downtown for a while. There’s this great big ivy wall so we snapped some photos, obviously. Is it weird that that’s what we like to do on dates? Wander around and take photos? I don’t care, I love it anyway. And you’ll be happy to know that even with all the wandering, the wedges kept my feet plenty comfy.
