A look at Color By Amber

Hi all, hope you're having a peaceful Sunday! Do you feel like checking out some jewelry with me?

This weekend I had the opportunity to sample and photograph a great selection of jewelry created by a growing company called Color by Amber. Their line is eco-friendly, colourful and easy to wear. I'm partial to the skinnies collection, thin bracelets that are really fun to mix and stack up. I wear mine almost daily because they're pretty, durable, light weight and go with anything. Plus, they're really travel friendly. Wear them right through security, while camping or at the beach, no problem! I LOOOOOVE anything that helps me feel put together but won't drag me down while on the road.

Sharing this companies products ties in with April being Earth Month. Color By Amber products are made of 40% recycled content from their award winning, zero landfill facility. Materials like old jeans, shredded catalogs and burlap coffee bags are repurposed as interlayers in their eco-friendly jewelry. Nearly one-third of the interlayers used in Color By Amber jewelry are handmade by their Full Circle Artisans from remote villages around the world. Materials are purchased at fair trade wages and 10% of the net proceeds from sold products are donated to initiatives which help sustain a better life for these artisans, fostering new skills and improvements for their entire communities.

If you're a Winnipeg area local, you can check out Color By Amber in person in Niverville on April 19th 10:00am - 3:00pm at the Niverville Heritage Centre - 100 Heritage Trail. If not, visit their site here to shop online through my stylist (and full disclosure, awesome sister in law, Tanya). Independent stylist positions are available as well for those wanting to get involved, just contact Tanya @[email protected] for the full scoop!
