6 Travel Beauty Products you Need!

I cared for my skin from the inside out with Aveeno® Active Naturals as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars. All opinions & tips are from yours truly! #Aveeno

As you guys probably know, I love to travel. Any chance I get to jet off to a new place, I’m there. With or without kids! In the last 9 months I’ve traveled to 4 big American cities and 6 different countries on three continents! Throughout all that traveling I’ve learned to pack a mean carry on bag. And after having my coconut oil taken at customs traveling to Prague, I learned some valuable lessons about travel beauty products!

Today I’ve rounded up 6 travel beauty products that I don’t travel without. They’re compact, practical and do a great job at what they were made for! Let’s get to it!

6 Travel Beauty Products you Need!

All of these are under the 3.4 fl oz allotment given for liquid products to travel on a plane so you can throw all of them in your carry on bag. This is practical for a short weekend trip where you don’t want to check any luggage at all! I try not to check luggage whenever possible even though sometimes it’s inevitable. However, even if you do have to check a bag, you can still toss these in your carry on to make sure that they arrive with you at your destination!

Mouthwash

You guys. When I went to Eastern Europe I forgot my toothbrush. Like completely. I didn’t have a tooth brush with my for the first couple days of the trip and it was nasty. By always having a small, travel-sized mouthwash in your beauty bag you will always be sure to — at the very least — not have bad breath. It will do until you have time to find a real toothbrush. I wish I had brought some! (Lesson learned!)

Dry Shampoo

This is specially important if you’re traveling a lot or staying in hostels. I did not feel like using the hostel showers in Prague and Budapest (although Budapest’s was really nice) and I most certainly didn’t feel like washing my hair! Dry shampoo to save the day. In Morocco last week I didn’t wash my hair at all and got creative with dry shampoo and braids. Perfect combo for traveling!

Compact Razor

Not only is this little razor super cute, it’s so practical! Just keep it in your travel beauty bag so you’re always ready to go. This way you can ensure that you never have to use those cheap, gross hotel razors ever again. Yuck.

Blotting Paper

These babies are actually just really good to have in your purse, you never know when you’ll need them. Specially if you’re traveling during the hot summer months and your face is getting a little bit dewy, just whip one out and blot away the sweat/oil and you’ll be all fresh! They’re also so small they won’t take up any space at all.

CC Cream

You guys know I love my Aveeno® CC Cream. I used it in my 5 minute makeup tutorial a while back and continue to use it daily. I love it. It is the perfect travel makeup. It’s not too heavy, you don’t need any brushes or sponges to apply and it’s small enough to throw in your carry on! I didn’t even pack my heavier foundation on my last trip – this was my go-to the whole time. Not to mention that this already has SPF 30 in it, so no extra products, no extra sunscreen, just bring your Aveeno® CC Cream and you’re all set!

Aveeno® Positively Radiant® Makeup Removing Wipes

Guys. These wipes. I have never used wipes like this before. I didn’t know how amazingly practical they are! Not only that, but affective as well! I was sold in an instant. You probably know that I use the oil cleansing face method to wash my face and I really do love it. However, it’s not the most practical – toting around glass containers of oil isn’t the easiest to travel with. Nor the fastest method in town. There are some nights where all I want to do is fall into bed but I refuse to do so without washing my makeup off. Aveeno® makeup removing wipes to the rescue! They are also perfect for travel because you have no small containers, no liquids, you can slip them in your carry on bag without a hassle at all and have your face cleansed in no time at all.

In Prague when they took my coconut oil in the airport I was pretty bummed. Not to mention I was left without a facial cleanser! (No toothbrush or face wash – it wasn’t pretty!) I didn’t have these wipes at this time, but MAN would they have saved the day!! I have since learned my lesson and they now come with me on every trip.

They are made with ACTIVE NATURALS® Total Soy Complex, which is known to enhance skin’s radiance and even out skin tone. It is such a gentle cleanse and won’t dry out or irritate skin. It also removes all traces of makeup which is obviously what we’re going for here! I use them before I wash with my oil cleansing method (when I have time). I know I don’t have to, but I like that they remove all the makeup first and then I get a good oil cleanse after. Not to mention my skin feels great!

So do share — what are your must-have travel beauty products? If you haven’t checked out these Aveeno® makeup removing wipes, you simply have to. They’re fabulous. And coming from Mrs. Makes-Her-Own-Products, you know they’re a win!
