Burt’s Bees Renewal Face Care Line Results

A couple weeks back I shared the new Burt’s Bees Renewal Face Care line. You all know that I am into natural skin care and I normally wash my face with oil. There are a couple of reasons I wanted to try out the Burt’s Bees line. First of all, I love Burt’s Bees. I used their lip crayons back in November and I fell in love. They are now my go-to lip colors. (And they’re affordable!!) Second of all, they’re natural. The products are formulated with hibiscus and apple. These are specifically chosen for their anti-spasmodic properties and how they are intensely hydrating. Together they plump up skin cells and help reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles, improve firmness, and make skin appear smoother & more hydrated.

Now, if I can get all those benefits in a product I don’t have to make myself that is 98% natural, I’m all ears. Not to mention that Burt’s Bees is a company that has earned it’s great reputation for healthy, natural products. Even though I enjoy making some of my own facial products, I like to have something I can fall back on when I’m too lazy or just don’t have time. I also want to find products to share with you – if you want to use more natural products but don’t have the time/interest/desire to make them yourself. This line is a fabulous option.

The deal was that I needed to try the products for a full 28 days. The products include Renewal Intensive Firming Serum, Renewal Firming Day Lotion, Renewal Night Cream, Renewal Smoothing Eye Cream, and Renewal Refining Cleanser. You can find the whole line here. I want to honestly tell you what I think about each of these products.

Renewal Intensive Firming Serum – I loved it. I put this serum on right after washing my face, before any lotion. I feel it improving my skin’s smoothness and it definitely adds to hydration. I feel like this product with the eye cream made a huge difference in my skin.

Renewal Firming Day Lotion – what I loved about this lotion was that it is natural and that is has a SPF 30. As you get older you realize the importance of wearing SPF even if it’s not super sunny. This lotion is hydrating and you know you’re being protected.

Renewal Night Cream – I really liked this product. It is thick and creamy but doesn’t feel heavy on your skin. You know that you’re getting intense hydration throughout the night.

Renewal Smoothing Eye Cream – like I mentioned above, this is one of the ones I thought made most of the difference. I actually saw — with my own eyes — my fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes decrease. I have big smile lines, and they’re still there, it just reduced the wrinkle lines around the outside of my eyes. The dark circles and puffiness were still somewhat noticeable, but I attribute that to not getting enough rest. Something I’m working on for sure!

Renewal Refining Cleanser – This is a very gentle cleanser. If you have sensitive skin, this could be a good one for you. It doesn’t feel harsh and it actually feels like you’re moisturizing while you’re washing. It didn’t work as well if I had a full face of makeup, but once I removed my makeup before washing, it was a lot better. Definitely does not strip your face of moisture and oils which is good for any skin type – yes, especially oily skin!

So now you want to see the before and after, don’t you? I know, me too! Keep in mind, it is really hard to get a picture of your wrinkles all up close and personal. I did my best to show them in all their wrinkly glory!

Okay, now I know that the first photo isn’t great quality. I promise I’m not trying to doctor them up to make the second one look better. I tried to make the same smile and be at the same angle – can’t you see the difference? My right eye (left when you’re looking at the photo) is where I saw most of the difference. I think I must sleep on my right side more often so the wrinkles are more prevalent. I don’t have a stitch of makeup on in either photo and I didn’t touch them up at all. Which I feel is pretty obvious.

The conclusion? I would definitely recommend this line. For me personally, I have gone back to my oil face wash but I still use my favorites from the Burt’s Bees line – the serum, eye cream, and night cream. I use the day lotion when I know I’m going to be out in the sun all day. If you’re in the market for a natural face wash I would definitely recommend giving the Burt’s Bees Renewal Face Care line a try!
