Thrift Store Finds

I found this little gem last week when Connor and I were out and about in our neighbourhood. I'm very lucky that I have two great thrift stores within walking distance of my home and I try to stop in when I can. I usually don't find anything and that's ok, because I'm never looking for anything specific. Every so often I'm lucky and find the perfect items. Those items you didn't know you were looking for until you see them. And then you know.

I actually saw this little bag from the back and thought it was a cute fabric and a perfect size for Connor to carry around his trucks and trains when we go on play-dates. When I turned it over my heart started to beat a bit faster. I immediately knew what it was and I've always thought that colouring book bags are a great idea but I could never see myself sewing one. I knew Connor would love this one and for $2 how could I not take it home with us!? It's extremely well made and I love that it has holders for not only crayons but markers or colouring pencils as well. (you can see the slits in the green grass)

And I leave you with this photo of Connor:

It cracks me up the things this little guy thinks of. Once he realized he could sit down inside the Lego container he insisted that Papa put all the Lego's back into their proper place. With him still inside of course.
