green tea



I'm definitely a coffee girl, but lately I've been trying to drink at least one cup of green tea a day, usually during lunch time or later in the afternoon when I'm having a small snack. I was never really a huge fan of green tea, but lately I've been really enjoying the taste, especially since there are so many different kinds, plus the health benefits are a huge plus.


Green tea is great for increasing your metabolism, which is why I recommend having a small snack when you're drinking it. I find when I have green tea on an empty stomach I feel a bit nauseous, so as long as I have a small snack, whether it's some fruit or crackers, the result is so much better. Green tea is also known for helping reduce bad cholesterol, regulate insulin levels, as well as helping reduce the risk of high blood pressure.
My main usage of green tea is because it's a known antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent. My skin has been doing so much better since the summer, but I'm quite susceptible to stress breakouts, so I'm been enjoying seeing the effects of green tea on my skin. My skin feels healthier, looks better, and my spots aren't as heavy anymore. Applause all around!
