I never know what to make for dessert that is football themed. Problem is solved with these adorable Mint OREO Cookie Balls! I got everything I needed while I was a Wal-Mart, you can’t beat the prices! I love trying new recipes and these OREO cookie balls were just what I needed to top off my football themed party.
My daughter was thrilled when I told her we would be making these. She helped me shop for the ingredients. And I let her choose the flavor of OREOS – she chose mint. She helped me crush the OREOS and mix up the filling, and helped form a few of the footballs. Then she disappeared, oh the attention span of a 5 year-old. I finished up the OREO cookie balls by dipping them in chocolate and piping on the laces. These were delicious! I love that you can customize the flavor of these treats with your favorite OREO flavor. #OREOCookieBalls
Mix together filling ingredients. I used Mint OREOS, and added 1 cup crème de mint baking chips.
I chopped, then melted the Baker’s chocolate in my 1.5 quart slow cooker for 40 minutes on HIGH (stirring occasionally).
Shape the filling into “football shapes”. Then freeze for 10 minutes.
Using a fork, dip the footballs into the melted chocolate.
Let the chocolate harden. I popped the footballs into the fridge for an hour.
Pipe the laces on the footballs, and the party is ready to start.
