Hello Make It and Love It readers! It’s Emma from Crafting{E} again and I’m am so excited to share this fun Christmas craft with all of you! I really love all the holidays, but my love for Christmas is, by far, the greatest.

There is just something about this season that makes me so happy inside. One of my favorite parts of the Christmas season is all of the fun traditions and activities my families does. One of our yearly traditions is making gingerbread houses.

Now that I’m older, I have a lot of fun making elaborate gingerbread houses, but I remember getting so frustrated trying to assemble them when I was younger. If that’s the case for you (or someone you know), then this project is perfect for you!

Introducing printable 3D Christmas houses! All you need to make these is some paper, scissors, tape, and coloring utensils. There is no need to worry about these getting stale or going bad because they are made out of paper. You also won’t have to worry about trusting icing that can’t hold the house together.

My two little sisters made these Christmas houses with me and they LOVED it. In fact, my littlest sister was jumping for joy when I was “making the house 3D”. They had so much fun coloring in the houses too.

These houses would be the perfect activity for a snow day, preschool activity, or even just a fun family Christmas activity.

In addition, I am providing the pdf for these houses FREE at the end of this post!

MATERIALS:

  • Card stock with house printable printed on it (you will need two copies per house)
  • Tape
  • Coloring utensils
  • scissors

DIRECTIONS:

  • Cut out the house design along the outer black line

  • Color the houses in

  • Fold the flaps on the edges of the house and roof in and fold along the dotted line

  • Glue or tape the two pieces of the roof together

  • Glue the two pieces of house together so it forms a rectangle

  • Glue the roof onto the top

And you’re done! Thanks for reading!
