London Fashion Week Fall 2015

London Fashion Week just wrapped, and there’s something special about the designers that show across the pond. There’s an effortless coolness to the style there, and we can’t help but covet the pieces we saw.

Christopher Kane creating an unabashedly sensual collection for Fall 2015. From the overt embroidered dresses to the more subtle uses of striking color in unexpected places, this collection was daring indeed.

Burberry Prorsum’s Fall offering channeled the bohemian 1970s with ample use of suede, fringe, and florals.

The designs at Peter Pilotto were inspired by an unlikely source: board games. Each element of the board game, from the playing path to the pieces, were captured in the garments.

Topshop Unique’s collection this season featured pieces were cool, casual, and, most notably, easily wearable. A sweet dandelion printed blouse could be paired with a colored leather mini for a look that can be worn effortlessly by style stars and the rest of the fashionable population.

At the Emilia Wickstead show the looks didn’t steer too far away from what the designer is famous for: elegant design with modest yet modern cuts. We’re sure to see the British elite wearing the soft pastel pieces from Emilia Wickstead this fall.

According to J.W. Anderson, the 1980s are the next big thing. Bold circular belt buckles, slouched boots in bright colors and ruffled outerwear made waves in a 1970s dominated seaon.
