Happy Mara Prose Monday!! Today I want to introduce you to one of my upcoming Prosey’s Corner guests, Joe McGee.
Joseph McGee was born in Hartford, Connecticut. He is an American actor, writer, director and producer. He is the founder of McGee Productions USA and resides in the New England area of the United States, where he produces and directs the majority of his films.
Joe McGee is an accidental author and filmmaker. He has worked in various corporate roles as a manager and technical writer. In 2016, he decided to write his first non-fiction business/leadership book entitled, “Leadership Lessons Inspired By A Six Year Old.”
The primary premise of the book is about the similarities in childrearing and corporate management. In leadership whether in IT Service Management (ITSM) scenarios or elsewhere –there’s sadly no operating manual for how one should lead teams effectively. In the real world leadership training for new managers and leaders is often not part of the company budget. So, how do you become an effective leader? In Joe’s experience, new leaders learn their roles by trial and error. It’s the ‘discover phase’ that can be somewhat daunting. Obviously, it is the same when raising children. It is also a trial and error experience, and most families have to adapt to their own unique situations and figure out how to raise their children to be well-rounded, productive adults.
In 2017, Joe published his first fiction book entitled, “The White House Is Fake.” From there, he decided to develop the book into a film and promote short clips of the movie to the general public. This spawned McGee Productions www.mcgeeproductions.us; tag line ‘Turning Novels into Films‘.

Book Abstract:
In the year of 1956, President Dwight Eisenhower signed the bill for the Federal-Aid Highway Act into law; also known as the National Interstate and Defense Highway Act. The law was executed on June 29, 1956 with an estimated 25 billion for the 41,000 miles of highway to be built. In 1957, Dwight Eisenhower modified the act to include the Presidential Protection Act. In 1992, Nelson Conrad discovered that the government had been lying to the American People about the true intentions of this act. Nelson Conrad exposed the DOT (Department of Transportation), and in 2016 the entire story Nelson Conrad’s discoveries were exposed.
In 2018, Joe was approached by his friend John Lombardo who had authentic family WW2 letters and wanted to develop the letters into a book and film. Joe then created “Letters For Annie: Memories from World War II,” and filmed the movie on the BB-59 in Fall River, MA.

He also filmed a short film titled “For Bobby,” in 2020 which also can be viewed on Amazon Prime.
