Pin of the Day: Girl skirts from man shirts

I'm pretty sure my husbie isn't the only one who wears out the elbows of his shirts seemingly before the rest of the shirt is even out of the packet. Or perhaps he just has really sharp elbows?
It's really frustrating because the rest of the shirt is in perfect condition, but the elbows fray away and are dust. We put elbow patches inside the shirt before wearing, but it still doesn't seem to solve the problem. And you really can't send your man off to work with elbow patches on the outside of his shirts. At least, not unless he's a professor of philosophy at the University of 1973.
Times like these, you need to call on one of the crafty clever clog wearers and Little Goodall has come to the rescue in a big way. How cute are these skirts! There's a step-by-step tutorial to help you make them too - I mean, the tutorial lost me somewhere in the middle, but I'm sure that other less sew-challenged bodies could make them in a jiffy. A great way to recycle elbow-dust shirts.
Little Goodall makes super-cute kids' coats and does other crafty stuff somewhere out the back of Texas. Her blog is rather fab all-round.
Visit Little Goodall or click on the image above to see the pin!

Is your man similarly sharp of elbow?
