Lowry Park Zoo

We've been having a pretty terrible week-- err.. starting last Friday, so Sweetie McSweeterson surprised us with a couple of tickets to Lowry Park Zoo here in Tampa. Seriously, best zoo ever. They were even voted #1 again by Parents. Numero uno.

Military rates save you about $5 a pop, children 2 and under are free, parking is free-- and if it's your birthday, so is your ticket! But the best part is that while there's a ton of activities to do there-- all 6 of the mechanical rides are included in the price of admission, and your little ones can ride as much as they'd like! Kenley could really only ride the carousel this time around, but she was totally in love.

before Kev had to pry her off.

monkeys are Kev's favorite.

Another thing she could do--and got a huge kick out of-- was feeding the giraffes! For a couple bucks, you can feed the giraffes a few pieces of lettuce, and see them up close and personal. Kenley fed this big guy his first piece, but noped out of the rest of them after her hand caught a lick.

And their Wallaroo Station area has a ton of hands on stuff-- where you can go for a pony ride, and pet feed a number of animals. Kenley loved petting the goats so much that she had a little trouble understanding we can't pet all of the animals, as we moved throughout the zoo, though. We'll leave that part for last next time.

Lucky for her, she's got a mini zoo right here where pets are almost always appreciated. Poor cats.
