WANG WEEK/ Interpretation

I usually like to wear things in my own way because I believe that’s what personal style is all about. Everyone can wear the same pieces but it’s about the individual’s interpretation of said pieces that changes it from any normal garment to a style accessory. Prior to buying everything and anything from the WANG x H&M collection I carefully studied the look book assessing each piece, analysing the material and trying to incorporate each pieces to work in synergy with my personal style. As soon as I saw this neoprene jumper had a zip across the whole length of the jumper I knew I was to wear it back to front.

I believe that the subtle exposure of skin added a sense of femininity to the outfit which is what I always consider whilst dressing up. I enjoy adding a feminine twist to highly structured pieces. I also know that A. People wouldn’t really consider buying this particular jumper because everyone is so obsessed with the WANG monogrammed jumpers and B. very few people would think of wearing the garment back to front. It’s nice to be able to use initiative to style outfits in ways that assimilate to my personality and style amongst a sea of fashion crazed individuals who are all buying the same thing.

It’s not what you buy, or if everyone has it. It’s how you wear it.
