Cambridge Satchel Company AW15

At this point we all know and love The Cambridge Satchel Company founded in 2008 by Julie Deane and her mother Freda Thomas. All their bags are lovingly hand made in the UK and range from classic satchels with a twist to backpacks, handbags and small leather goods. In 2014 the brand branched into developing bespoke men’s styles including the Expedition range and Work Bag and for AW ‘15 the Cambridge Satchel Company introduces its first dedicated men’s range that the brand has produced due to its unisex range being so successful.

The Cartridge Collection

A new design look for The Cambridge Satchel Company, the Cartridge Collection, inspired by the vintage cartridge bag, is a different shape for the brand.

Perfect as a camera bag it is available in three sizes. The ‘keeper’ interior closure in the small style will protect valuables and the medium and large sizes carry extra pockets for all those little essentials. With branded brass hardware – new for this season, all sizes come with a webbing strap as well as a top handle. Available in four colours – russet, navy, black, dark brown ( oxblood in large).

The Map Bag

Inspired by a vintage map bag, this group has the familiar Cambridge Satchel feel with the brand’s signature window prominently displayed on the front as part of a sleek, simple design. Each size includes an intelligent interior pocket design with detachable pouch. A branded press stud adds a masculine touch to the utilitarian design and the detachable shoulder strap means you can choose how you carry it. Three sizes available in four colours – pine, russet, black, oxblood.

The Bridge Closure

The AW ’15 Men’s collection introduces a new feature for The Cambridge Satchel Company products; the bridge closure. The simple brass holds premium saddle leather tabs to complete the bridge closure making it easier to close and more simple in design than the traditional buckle. The supple saddle leather offers each bag a unique look as it ages naturally in a different way to the body of each bag. An evolution of the Work Bag style, this masculine satchel is perfect for everyday use. Available in four colours – oxblood, black, navy with tan tabs and russet with dark brown tabs. The bridge closure is also available in the small map bag style. Sleek in style this simple design is available in black only with branded brass hardware.

The Folio group

A reworking of The Cambridge Satchel Company’s Music Bag, this design is available in three sizes; small, large and backpack style. The small style has one simple handle while the larger size had an additional handle and wider fit. All three styles carry a webbing strap, which can be detached so that each is carried by the handle in a briefcase style. The new design has a more robust metal bar closure which carries the brand’s distinctive bike logo on each end. Small and large size available in four colours – pine, black, vintage, dark brown. Multipocket Batchel

An evolution of The Cambridge Satchel Company’s Batchel – a classic satchel with top handle, the Mutipocket Batchel is the perfect bag with a busy guy. With magnetic side pockets and two front pockets, it can be used for work or as a weekend bag with ample space for all essentials. The style includes a webbing strap for easy cross body wearing and comes with branded brass hardware. Available in four colours – navy, black, oxblood, dark brown.
