Drop waists

I've been wanting to try a drop waist dress for a very long time, but as a girl with biggish hips, common sense has told me to steer clear! However, this tweedy dress with a hint of metallic weave won me over so I just got over myself and went for it! I actually bought this a couple of months before Xmas and have found it really easy to dress up or down. Case in point, I dressed this up for our New Year's Eve house party (and also to this event). Funnily enough, this dress clearly won others over too, since another girl rocked up at the same NYE party wearing exactly the same. After the initial embarrassment/horror, what can I say- we embraced it!
