La Tour Eiffel

On our second day, we decided to see yet another symbol, if not THE symbol, of Paris -- la Tour Eiffel. It was the day after my birthday but feeling like it still is. Going around the city, seeing glimpses of the tower from the train or from the cab, before actually getting there, gave me such a thrill. Like the golden pot on the end of the rainbow. Like that scene of Carrie Bradshaw on the balcony of Aleksandr Petrovsky's suite, where she first saw the tower, I swear I even had to watch that before this trip. How cliche did that sound? But really.

So we spent almost half of that day lying down on grass, never minding the heat, staring at the tower wondering how the hell it was built, while having French Fries with spicy mustard and ketchup and Nutella Crepe. We decided to do this instead of lining up to climb the tower. Looking back now, maybe we should've. I don't think anything will beat the charm of this tower. Someone please take me back?

This leather jacket has proven to be one of my most abused in the closet during the trip, or should I say, in my suitcase. I was actually contemplating on bringing something a little fancier than this outfit, like a black velvet dress, to go with the hat and some high heels to boot. But thinking about going through the hassle of bringing an extra big bag for my heels and dress, and having to think about where to change, I decided to wear these instead and go with comfort.
