Vionic Venture Walker Review

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received one or more of the products or services mentioned for free in the hope that I would mention it on my blog. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.” Well, the 2015 Walkabout is over. I started off strong but at the end, the weather really made it hard to walk. The fact that the new indoor walking workout DVD that I ordered got lost for most of the month didn’t help either. Last year’s walk was in March and that is a better weather month to get outside and walk, especially for those of you who live up north!

A bonus of working with Vionic to promote the 2015 Walkabout was the fact that I got to try out some new walking shoes! My feet are extra wide and I have a very hard time finding closed toed shoes that fit. This year I got to try the Venture Walker for Women which come in a wide width…and they fit!

About the Venture Walker for Women

The Venture Walker is made of a lightweight durable mesh and man-made overlays which give the Venture walker a sporty look while promoting breathability and comfort for confidence with each step. The shoe features Orthaheel Technology, a biomechanic orthotic footbed that naturally aligns your feet and may help to relieve heel pain by reducing over-pronation.

Mom Maven’s Thoughts

The Venture Walker only took a little bit of breaking in, especially at the front of the foot. My wide fore foot always takes some time to get comfortable in new shoes but the stretchy nature of the Venture Walker made this process easier than usual for me. I have never worn a walking shoe that was this light before, it was a new experience for me. Not only did I wear this shoe for my Vionic Walkabout Walks, I gave it the ture shoe test…a day at Walt Disney World. My feet were rather comfortable all day in the park. I’m sure on a multi-day trip, I would still wear different shoes each day, these are a nice addition to my walking shoe wardrobe.

The Venture Walker is available for $99.95 and come in 5 colors, many sizes and two widths. If you are looking for a lightweight walking shoe, I recommend you check out the Vionic Venture Walker.
