Love for Trader Joes

Can I just say that I love Trader Joes. The sight of the brown paper bags just makes me happy inside. It has taken me some time to determine what my regular items are but I have a set list now that I have to have. The only problem with Trader Joes is the location. When I lived in California I had one right down the street, but when I moved to Utah, Trader Joes didn’t exist. Now that I am back in AZ I have become a regular again and wanted to share what some my “must have items” are.

Here is how I use some of the items. The others are pretty self-explanatory.
Greek Yogurt:This is Wesley’s and my favorite. We put fruit in it with some type of cereal. Wes loves it because he gets to be creative and pick what goes in our yogurt in the morning. It has consisted of different fruits, honey nut cheerios, and he has even picked raisins. Trader Joes Granola Bars: Perfect on the go bar. Mac N Cheese:I am not a fan of Kraft Mac N’ Cheese or Velveeta. The one time I made it for Wes I had to throw it out because I just couldn’t justify giving him cheese that came from a powder. (I’m sorry I don’t mean to sound like a processed snob) These boxes are in the frozen section and they have alight or a regular box to choose from. I buy the regular for Wes and buy a few lights for myself. When I first noticed these, like everything else I buy, I turned it over and read the ingredients. It passed. Everything I could clearly read and is basically homemade mac n cheese. Vegetable Fried Rice: Another Wesley favorite. I use this when I am rushed for dinner. I will crack a few eggs in the mix and call it a day. It is so fast and so yummy. Cilantro Jalapeño Hummus with Whole Wheat Pitas: Best lunch ever. Wes even dips all his cut up veggies in it. This hummus is kind of a little spicy so I would recommend the original hummus for kids. Fresh Flowers:This is one of the main reasons I absolutely love Trader Joes. I always pick up some tulips and it really helps set the mood in my house. Fresh Pesto:This has been my new favorite thing. I will post the recipe I used for it next week!!!
