A best friend, mentor, role model, shopping companion, most favorite chef, my number 1 fan and supporter, and confidant… all these describe the most important woman in my life, my mom. She has always been there for me, no matter what. When I was a kid, she would pack my lunches, sew me dresses and take me shopping with her. She would fix my hair – even perm it (an 80s kid here, when perms were all the rage), and do my makeup for school events. There are so many other things that she did and continues to do for me. But the point is, my mom would probably do anything for me. And I’m sure that most mothers do the same for their children. Now what would you do for her this Mother’s Day? How will you express your gratitude to your mom? It’s easy to buy her material things. So how about giving her the ultimate pampering yourself? Below, I’m sharing with you how to create a pamper basket for Mother’s Day. There’s also a free printable coupon to treat your mom to a free foot spa pedicure done by you! Let’s begin.

What You’ll Need:

  • Plastic basin or stackable organizer storage or caddy
  • Amopé™ Pedi Perfect™ Electronic Foot File
  • Amopé™ Foot Cream
  • Pedicure tools or nail cleaning tools
  • Foot soak and/or foot scrub
  • Nail polish remover
  • Cotton balls
  • Nail polish
  • Washi tape for decoration
  • Sticker label
  • This free printable Foot Spa Coupon by myfashionjuice to give to your mom for a free foot spa from you

For a cohesive look, you can choose a theme or color scheme for these items. For example, buy the items in her favorite color. In this example, I am going for a relaxing ocean theme, perfect for pampering. So I picked shades of blue and green to put in her pamper basket.

You can get all of these supplies at Target, including the Amopé™ Pedi Perfect™ Electronic Foot File, which retails for $39.99. And to help you out, there’s a great Cartwheel offer from Target when you buy 1 gadget, you get a FREE $5 Target Gift Card from May 3-9. You can find the Amopé™ products at the foot care aisle and/or at the end cap displays too. And a friendly PSA to my pink lovers out there: there is a limited edition pink color gadget too. Better hurry before they are gone. To keep updated with Amopé™ products and promotions, make sure to like their Facebook page. Now, let’s get to work!

Procedure:

  1. Take your basin or organizer storage and find the center height. You can do this by measuring the height of the organizer, dividing it by two, and marking the center with a pencil. This is where you want to place your washi tape. I went with a wider washi tape to go all around the storage.
  2. Now take a thinner washi tape and position one above and one below the wider tape, as if you were making a sandwich. You can decorate your basin or organizer storage with other patterns too. Just follow your style and liking.
  3. Take a label sticker and stick it in the middle. Again, just measure the length of the side you’re sticking the label to, and divide it in half to get the center. Now label it with something like Mom’s Pamper Basket or Box. I chose to simply label it as “Queen”. So when she’s soaking her feet, she will feel like royalty.
  4. Now, download this free printable for a coupon to give Mom a well-deserved foot spa pedicure. Just include the coupon/s inside your basket. I’m sure she’ll be thrilled to be pampered by you!
  5. Finally, it’s time to fill up the basin or organizer with foot spa essentials! Gather pedicure tools, nail polish, polish remover, cotton balls, foot soak, and/or gel. I like to add these Amopé™ products: the Amopé™ Pedi Perfect™ Electronic Foot File to buff away hard skin with its gentle rotating action, and Amopé™ Foot Cream to get those soft beautiful feet. Do you know that Amopé™ is Portuguese for “Love your Feet”? It’s only fitting because these products are perfect for taking care of your soles. Having an electronic foot file is a must for me because it makes foot care super easy. It will do the hard work of buffing away hard skin for you. If you’re giving Mom a foot spa, you’ll be grateful you have this. But at the same time, if Mom wants to do it on her own, it will be such a breeze for her too. Then follow up with the Amopé™ Foot Cream to moisturize. We don’t want dry and scaly feet, especially now that warm weather, a.k.a. open-toes season, is here!

So wasn’t it easy to create a pamper basket for Mother’s Day?

Now if you’re wondering why I used an organizer storage such as this, the answer is simple. This organizer storage acts as a basin and organizer in one! The removable caddy inside is perfect to hold all the foot spa and pedicure tools. When you take out the caddy, the storage becomes a basin, perfect for filling with water and soaking the feet. When you’re done with the foot spa, just empty it out, wipe it down, and put the caddy back inside and you can store the whole thing all together!
