KBShimmer Summer 2015 Review (Partial)

Good evening lovelies! I have a pretty big post for you today so I hope you have some time on your hands. This is the new KBShimmer Summer collection and actually it's even bigger than what I have to share with you! So many choices, and they are all so pretty - you've going some tough decisions in your near future. This collection is made up of pastel neons, glitters, ultra chrome flakes, silver flakes, crellies and even a holo thrown in there! I believe there are 28 polishes total in this collection and I have 9 to show you. The Summer 2015 collection will all be available on 5/15 and will have a selling point ranging from $7.50 to $10.75 each. Alright, we have a lot to look at so less chatting, more pictures!

Starting with the cremes - this is Rum Me The Right Way. It's a "shocking yellow creme." I completely enjoy this shade. It's not as neon as the others we have seen thus far, but it's not a full on pastel either. The formula was a bit tricky. It was a bit chalky and streaky Application was uneven. I needed 3 coats to cover up all patches. Rum Me The Right Way dries to a semi-matte finish so I used topcoat for a glossy look. *direct sun*

Leggo My Mango is a gorgeous "creamsicle orange creme." You know I love orange so picking this one was a no-brainer. While I loved the color here, I did find the same formula and application problems as the last one. Chalky and streaky. I used 4 coats of Leggo My Mango to reach full coverage and a later of topcoat for a shiny finish.

The last creme shade I have to share with you is Bahama Drama. This is a "near neon deep peach creme." It actually reminds me more of papaya than peach and yum - now I want fruit salad. The formula and application of Bahama Drama were both better than the last 2 polishes. I only needed 2 coats for all coverage and no self leveling problems. I finished with a layer of topcoat.

R-E-F-L-E-C-T is a "medium sized metallic silver flake polish." What a gorgeous polish! I love the silver color and the size of the silver flakes. I had no problems painting this on and it wasn't until I looked at my macro that I could see a few bare spots. If you want very dense coverage you could always sponge a layer on. I used 3 coats of R-E-F-L-E-C-T for my pictures and 1 layer of topcoat.

More flakies! Now we've moved into the ultra chrome flakie zone and it's a good place to be. This beauty is Green Weaver and it's a chameleon that shifts from "rosy pink to an apple green,...to a purple." I was really impressed with the formula and application of Green Weaver. I also truly loved the colors in this polish. I painted on the first coat and sponged on a 2nd. I should have sponged on a 3rd coat because in my macro I can see a few sparsely covered spots. I finished with a layer of topcoat

The other ultra chrome chameleon that I picked out is Look On The Nightside. This polish shows off a "rich green, to a violet purple, and offers hints of royal blue." Stunning! Again another great formula here - the flakies applied easily and required little to no manipulation to fully cover the nails. I painted the first coat on and then sponged on the 2nd and 3rd coats for full coverage. By applying the 3rd coat I had almost no bare spots! I finished with a layer of topcoat.

We Be Jammin' is probably the best name for a Summer polish ever. I'm a big Bob fan and this song reminds me of hot summer days hanging out with my friends when I was younger. It's described as a "bright magenta polish with blue shimmer and micro holographic sparkle." The formula and application were both fantastic. I had perfect coverage in 2 coats. I finished with a layer of topcoat. If you don't know the Bob Marley song,
Jammin', take a little listen!

Sun & Games is a "gold holographic polish packed with micro fine glitters." You can wear this one alone in 2-3 coats or apply a light coat over a base color to add a nice sparkly touch. I went for the whole shebang and did Sun & Games alone. Why? Because I love holo micro glitters and this baby didn't disappoint. It was uber sparkly and attention grabbing. The formula and application were both fabulous. I used 3 coats of Sun & Games and finished with a layer of topcoat.

Alloy Matey! is a polish full of "micro and fine silver holographic glitters." This one also had a fabulous formula and applied very easily. Just like the gold glitter, you can use this alone or as a topcoat. As you can see I went with the alone method and used 3 coats of Alloy Matey! and finished with a layer of topcoat for a smooth and glossy finish.
