My Top 3 Nail Polishes for Christmas 2014

Do you already know what you will be wearing on your nails for the Holidays this year? Or maybe you already painted your nails? I know I want to go with a stamped Christmas design from my new MoYou plates, but I haven't decided which design or color scheme I want to go with. While browsing my stash for possible polishes, I thought why not share with you my favorite Holiday colors for this year, so here we go.

First up is First Class Desires from the OPI Gwen Stefani Holiday 2014 collection. This is a dark purple base color loaded with coarse golden shimmer.

The formula is nice and two coats is all you need. I am seriously in love with this polish! If you cannot get your hands on this or do not want to pay the crazy OPI price tag here in Germany, you should have a look at Isadora - Autumn Leaves, which is a dead on dupe for First Class Desires.

From the same OPI collection comes Red Fingers And Mistletoes. This squishy jelly red base has a strong golden shimmer.

Again, the formula is nice and easy to work with. Here I am wearing two coats with top coat. This shade of red was love at first sight and on the nails it is just as pretty as in the bottle. The only thing that bugs me is the fact that the golden microglitter quickly sinks to the bottom of the bottle and this polish requires quite a bit of shaking before applying it.

Last but not least I have for your a gem from the drugstore. Sinful Colors - Gilded is rosegold microglitter and small red glitter in a clear base. While it is pretty dense, it required three coats to get full coverage.

Gilded is on the thick side, but it is still manageable and for $1.99 I won't complain. Worn on its own it is really blingy and reflective. It also works well as an accent nail or as a topper with just one thin layer over a base.
Which are your favorite Holiday nail polishes this year? Wishing you happy holidays, see you soon!
