Oh my goodness! So, I spotted these iridescent babies on the fabulous blog, ‘Style & Expect’ by Joana and when I checked the date of her blog post, I was gutted as I thought that there was no way that these would still be in store, or so I thought! I spent a good half hour on the web trying to see if I could find them on H&M’s website and on eBay too (worldwide) but I hadn’t any luck! I was so so so disappointed! Then…… I popped out at lunch time today and went to one of the small H&M’s along the high street in Reading and there they were. Fluttering their eyelashes at me. It was one of those moments where I literally shouted woo-hoo out loud which resulted in about 6 furry eyeballs looking at me up and down as if I were some looney tune that had just escaped from the fashion zoo! Yup, slightly embarrassing which resulted in visions of me throwing eggs at them. Anyway, back to the post! I was soon overcome with fear as I prayed they had my size in stock! I was beside myself! Lucky for me the 27 fitted perfectly..... I will spare you the detail of the size 25! LOL! Hey, is there anyone out there that knows of anyone who hates this trend? I haven’t. I mean how could you? This trend may not necessarily be sustainable in terms of the four seasons or the ever changing trends from runway to real-life but having a holographic piece of clothing or a holographic accessory is a must for any micro trend lover! I know that some may find this trend difficult to style but with some good ol’ neutral pieces paired with your shimmy will make you look luminous….. Literally! You may even get some ‘take me to your leader’ remarks which isn’t such a bad thing as you’ll know you’ve been successful in making yourself look fabulously fierce and futuristic (yup that’s an alliteration)! If however you are the elite in the upper crust of fashion society and would be happy to spend astronomical amounts of your dosh on the extraordinary holographic pieces by Hussein Chalayan, Manish Arora, Ksubi or Blumarine, then you’d probably look hot going all out from head to toe in iridescents! Obviously! Not sure about y'all but I've certainly got a case of the shimmy shimmy shakes!
