Essence - Caught in the Middle (Good Girl, Bad Girl TE)

My pick from the Essence Good Girl Bad Girl trend edition: nail polish in Caught in the Middle. It seemed like something I'd wear and that ''leather effect'' sticker got me pretty interested too, I admit. But there's one thing I've learned when it comes to Essence products which is to not take the description too seriously.

Caught in the Middle is a black jelly with loads of glass flecks of different size and color in it. The description mentiones leather and snake skin-like effect, but that's only the effect of glass flecks creating a texture once the polish dries. That's it.

Essence, Caught in the Middle, 2 coats (over 1 coat of black base - a England Camelot)

I tried this polish on it's own at first, but it needed three coats for full opacity and I still didn't like the depth of it. That's why I decided to layer it over black base instead. 2 coats (1 coat looks good too) over my favorite 1-coater black creme (a England Camelot to the rescue) is still better than 3 coats of this flaky polish. Easier to apply, easier to remove, plus it looks better, IMHO. The polish was easy to apply, formula was good and it looks quite interesting and original too. Nothing like leather or snake skin, but still pretty cool.

What do you think about this one? Would you wear it?
