Black and Yellow + BCBG Friends and Family
I know what you’re thinking – you have to be kidding me with this striped shirt! I just recently snagged it in black and couldn’t wait to start pairing it with some new spring favorites that I recently picked up in all the Friends and Family sales that have been happening right now.
About the shorts… I know it’s kind of hard to tell but the material here is kind of what sold me on a pair of black shorts. I guess I haven’t really been too interested in them in the past because it drives me crazy when anything black that I wash and dry immediately looks faded and old. Instead, this material is more like a comfortable pair of dress pants making them look much more polished and less like a chino. A bit thicker, too, but I think that’s another plus for me because they won’t wrinkle as easily. While they’re a little bit longer with the inseam, I generally offset the longer length with a taller heel to give my legs a little extra length. I think these shorts are going to be great dressed up or down, especially with the 5″ inseam. You could also grab the petite at 4″, which is generally my go-to with ALL my other shorts.
I grabbed these black wedges last summer but I’ll link up a few other options that look similar. I love, LOVE wedges in the summer. They’re comfortable to wear I’m always looking for ways to elongate my legs!
