ak vacay part two

The rest of our vacation consisted of a lot of shopping, eating and sightseeing. We ate at a place called The Lucky Wishbone, which supposedly has the best fried chicken in Alaska. I will say it was pretty dang good. The portions were huge, too. I ordered three pieces and was expecting KFC sizes, but just one piece was almost as big as my head.

We took a trip out to Seward to see some more glaciers and check out the "beach." Instead of sand, it's all rocks and broken shells. It was really gorgeous though, especially with the mountains in the background. Then we walked down to a few little shops and had some delicious gelato. I think I'm going to have to start eating that stuff more often.

Our last couple of days were cold and rainy, but we still managed to visit the Saturday Market in downtown Anchorage and walk the boardwalk at Potter's Marsh. Dustin and I also went with his dad to the shooting range on a particularly cold and rainy morning. No way I was getting Emily out to walk around, so we let the girls stay home and hangout with Dustin's mom.

The trip was really amazing and I'm so glad we had the opportunity to go. We made it home earlier this afternoon and I slept the day away, so of course I'll be up all night now.
