This year we were all thankful for Pinterest.

I cannot actually remember life before Pinterest.

We had an absolutely lovely Thanksgiving dinner at my daughter's home, and her tablescape was nothing short of breathtaking. A perfect mix of casual, and classy, with an autumn look and feel, and she found most of her ideas on Pinterest.

She began the grown-ups tablescape with a clever backdrop; an Ikea blanket throw instead of the usual tablecloth or runner. This added some texture and pattern to the table.

She painted some old blue charger plates black and sealed them with something to make them like chalkboard paint, allowing her to write our names in chalk.

A free Printable was printed on brown packing paper fed into her printer, creating silverware pockets.

Rustic, and homey and just perfect for the occasion, don't you think? And so easy to adapt these pieces to other occasions as well.

The kids table was equally fabulous, with another Printable for the little guests to color while waiting for the meal, and separate paper placemats for them to color as well.

They had a grand time coloring and it kept them occupied, giving the grown-ups a bit more time to visit while finishing up our meal, and getting ready for the fabulous desserts.

Dessert ideas came from Pinterest this year too, with adorable edible chocolate acorns, and little apple tart turkeys, among other goodies!

After the feast, the littlest guests had some holiday fun with even more Printable props for a photo booth, set up in the corner of the dining room.

It's so much easier to come up with fun details for entertaining thanks to Pinterest, and all of the incredibly creative folks out there in blog-land.

Just one more thing to be thankful for!
