Oh Happy Day design blog party @ West Elm Melbourne

On Monday night I was lucky enough to attend a design blog party at the new Melbourne West Elm, organised by the lovely Jaclyn of Blog Society and featuring special guest Jordan from Oh Happy Day!. To be honest I don't always feel very comfortable at these kinds of social gatherings, mainly because I don't usually have other bloggy/designy pals to go with and feel kinda daggy around the stylish people, but I decided to go anyway. Thankfully, I got chatting to a lovely girl named Kim, who was also there on her own, so we kept each other company – thanks Kim! We all got treated to drinks and a 6ft-long rainbow cake (no, really), and also got to have a good look around West Elm, which opened its Chapel Street store just a few weeks ago (its second Australian location after opening earlier this year in Bondi Junction). As expected, it was full of lovely homewares and furniture, all with a contemporary, grown-up feel. Here are a few photos of the range.
