Nuno Mendes vs Licky Chops
This Thursday sees a heavy weight match-up between Licky Chops, the purveyors of fine BBQ (as well as great burgers under their Lucky Chip moniker) and Corner Room super-chef Nuno Mendes. Incidentally two of my favourite dishes this summer have come from these contenders (see below – Licky Chops’ Beef Tartare and Corner Rooms’ Iberico Pork with Clams).
Nuno Mendes is stepping up to Licky Chops’ home turf of Climpson’s Arch, but who’s going to come away champ? Both teams will cook two dishes and then diners will be the judge of the winner.
Dishes will cost around £8-£12 each and they’ll be the usual wonders of cocktails, beers and wine behind the bar. Come down drink, eat and be merry.
