The Pie & Beer Manquet – Wednesday 5th March

Not that anyone ever needs any kind of excuse to eat pies but just in case you have some kind of pieless diet going on, this week is National Pie Week so you pretty much have the country’s permission (and by extension The Queen too, probs).

To help you on your way (or to keep you going) on Wednesday, Two Fingers Brewing – who if you don’t know are a beer company dedicated to throwing two fingers up to prostate cancer by giving all profits to Prostate Cancer UK – are partnering with with the Pie ‘n’ Lash guys (their name pretty much says it all) for an evening of good beer and great pie (obvo)!

The pies on the night will be (their words not mine):

Ankle-biter: A delicious blend of Aurelio Golden Artisan beer brined ham hock with fresh asparagus in a beer and mustard infused Béchamel sauce, lovingly encased in our famous handmade shortcrust pastry.

Hay that’s a foul: Barley hay & Aurelio Golden Artisan beer poached Sussex chicken, with buttered mushrooms and peppery watercress lovingly encased in our famous handmade shortcrust pastry.
