Modern Tea Party

Here is our take on a Modern Spring tea party. It would be good theme for a springtime baby shower, wedding shower, or brunch. I like throwing smallish parties like this because you can make more thoughtful details instead of throwing a giant party. My friend Andrea helped us put together a perfect menu of non-traditional (but really easy) tea treats that our guests LOVED. Click through below to see all the details from the party!

For the food we made Triscuit Crackers with Strawberries, Cream Cheese and Balsamic Vinegar, Vanilla Scones with Clotted Cream and Jam, Salmon, Cucumber and Dill Sandwiches, Spring Salads with Edible Flowers, Mango Pots de Creme, and Brownie Marshmallow Snowballs. Triscuit approached us about working together so we included one of the recipes from this Pinterest board at our party. We chose this recipe because it fit best with our tea party theme. For the decor I knew I wanted to use my new Mud teacup set I got for Christmas. I recently got this dark tablecloth from Unison and I liked the idea of going dark to make it feel a little more modern and playful. We mixed up all the place setting colors to feel more casual. To serve we put everything on serving platters I like to use the tiered platters because it gives things height. Et voila! Tea is served.
