Field Day 2015.

Hello lovely people, hope you’re well and having a lovely weekend! Last Saturday I was lucky enough to be sent to Field Day by CAT Footwear. It was an awesome day with acts such as Caribou, FKA Twigs (who was INCREDIBLE, but the tent was so crowded so I sadly didn’t get any pictures), Hudson Mohawke, Run the Jewels, Clarence Clarity, Honne, etc!
I thought I’d just show you a little photo diary, as I’ve never really shared things like this before, but it’s nice to do something different every now and then!

I kept my outfit pretty similar to my usual festival style, just wearing a skirt with bike shorts underneath and a velvet crop top, rather than my usual tee & shorts combination. It was nice to try out wearing a skirt to a festival as it it was just a day, but I’m definitely more of a shorts girl in these situations! In terms of my outfit, I wore:
Sunglasses - Topshop (Similar) Clear Quartz Velvet Choker - Regalrose Black Obsidian Chain* - Bambi Jewellery Moto Biker Jacket - UNIF (Similar) Reclaimed Vintage Velvet Crop Top - Asos (Similar & Printed Version) Zip Corduroy Skirt* - Motel Rocks Silver Colorado Boots* - CAT Footwear

While we were sat watching the main stage, we snapped a little his & hers shoe pic - I’m not usually one for this kind of cuteness, but I have to admit, it’s quite sweet :3
Fun fact: I was a little apprehensive about wearing these boots as I usually rely on my tried and tested docs for events like this when I’m on my feet all day (I’m quite the creature of habit). I’m super prone to blisters, and I’ll usually still get one or two even with my comfiest shoes on. However, that day we did over 25,000 steps and I did not get one blister - not one! Seriously impressive stuff!

The food section of the festival was absolutely insane, with loads of London food market vendors - the kind of stalls that are usually at the Street Feast Food Market - and there was an array to keep even the fussiest eater happy! Mac & cheese, burgers, fried chicken, paella, burritos, barbecue, crepes, alcoholic ice cream - seriously, whatever you could fancy!
After several walks up and down trying to decide, we went for the the Bleecker St. burgers since we’ve heard so many good things. I can confirm they are amazing, and totally worth the ridiculous food queues!

As the evening started to draw in, a cold wind started up, so I layered up with my shirt & jacket... and bought a hot chocolate with marshmallows :3 I know I must look ridiculous (IN JUNE!), but it was soooo good and definitely took the edge off the cold.

And here are some sneaky pictures of Caribou's set - I had a hard time picking out my pictures for this post as we saw so many acts, but I think these pictures came out the best!

And one of Hudson Mohawke's set to top everything off!

Anyway, I hope you liked my festival diary - are you going to any festivals this summer?
