Beauty Highlights From London Fashion Week

Fashion Week headed to the English capital this past week, where we were treated to larger-than-life beauty statements. Makeup artist Val Garland went sequin-happy at Temperley London using sparkles over the lids in different shapes and colors depending on the model, while wind burnt cheeks, outdoorsy freckles and wild hair reigned supreme at Topshop Unique care of Hannah Murray who cited Jean Campbell and Stella Tennant shot by Bruce Weber as her inspiration.

Here are a few of our favorite and slightly more wearable beauty highlights from the Fall 2015 runways at London Fashion Week…

The Perfect Red Lip:
At Antonio Berardi, Val Garland paired a vibrant poppy mouth against otherwise bare skin, while designer Roksanda Ilincic sent models down the runway with a saturated cherry pout. Estee Lauder’s Pure Color Envy

Sculpting Lipstick in Impassioned is super creamy, glides on effortlessly and lasts for up to 6 hours. To help your lipstick last even longer be sure to line the entire lip, not just the outline.

Green With Envy
Makeup artist Wendy Rowe gave the models at Burberry Prorsum a charcoal smoky eye with a hint of green for a modern take. Try Bobbi Brown’s Long-Wear Gel Sparkle in Midnight Forest, which is a two-in-one shadow and liner for a high-impact, multidimensional eye. It’s also a hue that will suit all skin tones.

Pony Power
Over at Erdem hairstylist Anthony Turner styled models’ hair into low ponytails with a side swept front section that was bobby pinned but still looked undone. Turner misted Bumble and Bumble Thickening Spray over hair before blow-drying it smooth. After spritzing the crown with the brand’s new Surf Infusion (a cross between a salt spray and a serum) he used a round brush to create additional lift. The lengths were then gathered by hand into a low ponytail for a slightly ruined look and the front section pinned in place with a bobby that contrasted models’ strands.

Heavy & Metallic Eyeliner
At Jacob Birge Vision, the entire eye was surrounded by dark, dark color while at Daks winged black liner – winged on the bottom, was enhanced by a layer of white liner which really made the eyes pop. Over at Sass & Bide the look was all about liner on the lower lid and the waterline. Get the look at home using Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Crayon in Blacquer. Super-malleable, this gel crayon glides on smoothly for a flawless, precise application.

Bold Brows
Strong eyebrows against nude skin was the look Lucia Pieroni created for models at Christopher Kane, but if you weren’t blessed with a brow game as strong as Cara Delevingne’s, the easiest way to fake them is with Benefit Cosmetics Gimmie Brow. This innovative brush-on fiber gel adheres to skin and hair, creating brows where before there were none. It builds easily for thick, lush arches and is available in two shades.
