Making Your Underpinnings Count

Leaving those underpinnings for the bedroom is so yesterday. If your glam is craving something more sophisticated yet subtle, it’s time to revamp your spring wardrobe with a whole lot of new lingerie. Ditch the turtlenecks, flash the flesh and let the streets admire your designer bra on show. It may sounds kooky at first, but there’s no point in investing something so pretty if a few extra eyes can’t see it too, right?

Of course, we’re not talking about those dull, rubber-like, off-colored bras that our mothers once upon a time bestowed upon us, because (thankfully) the fashion world’s latest muse has opted for gorgeous silks and lace materials, coming in all sorts of stunning variations.

Below we’ve listed three brands we’ve totally fallen in love with, (you can shop our favorite looks in the slideshow above!), but be sure to let us know other beauties you’ve spotted – after all, sharing is caring ladies!

ELSE Lingerie

With every piece crafted by hand in a private Istanbul-based atelier, the guys at ELSE Lingerie have nailed their motto: allowing the modern woman to look and feel beautiful at once. Founder of the company, Ela Onur, was raised with designers of her family’s lingerie accessory business, so we can only imagine the level of skills and years of experience this team has.

For Love and Lemons

We’re not surprised this one is named For Love and Lemons, seeing as designers, owners and, more importantly, best friends Gillian Rose Kern and Laura Hall founded it. Combining their creative heads together, the talented duo debuted their first RTW collection in Jackson, WY, but it’s done so well that they’ve relocated to Los Angeles. The lace is all custom made with stunning placement embroidery. Swoon.

Aubade

Over 50 years of talent has driven Aubade to the luxury lingerie commander it is today. Originally founded in France, but now recognized as a leading label worldwide, each creation is a fusion of the designers’ ingenious styling and creativity. According to the Parisian brand, “the perfect finish is part of Aubade’s ‘savoir-vivre’ – as is the art of seduction.” We’re sold.
