Runway Report: Brunello Cucinelli Fall 2015

As always, Brunello Cucinelli brought about his innate ability to produce menswear inspired pieces that although dances along the line of boyishness, in the end, ultimately remain streamlined and feminine and above all wrapped his ladies up in an abundance luxury for FW15.

His collection was appropriately coined Wild Luxury, and it reverberated throughout each ensemble implementing colors and textures that reflected the theme precisely. There was a fabulous mix of woven and knits like granular leather, voluminous textile ribbons, delicate flannels and silk armatures however the perfect amalgam of the title was shown in a newly adapted textile, a cashmere fur gillet (yes, we said cashmere fur) that we can only hope becomes a highly used material in the industry. The palette’s tribute to nature was obvious as winter and grainy whites, stone, geyser and earth, tussah and brown sugar all of which showed off the most profound version that mother nature can offer. Styled with a cool girl attitude thanks to the many chic separates, they were immediately elevated thanks to Cucinelli’s artistry and his master touch of elegance, cinching the waist, a juxtaposing layering.
