Runway Review: Etro Fall 2015

Keeping up with the brand’s iconic boho-luxe aesthetic, Veronica Etro serves up another striking collection of prints, and patchwork. She worked with a Seventies inspired palette of smutty tans, and natural leather, and looked to textiles and opulent upholstery for inspiration.

Contrary to the puzzle of monochrome patterns, the shapes were straightforward and angular. The remarkable embroidery, blanket weaves and jacquard as well as the diversity of fabrics used like velvet, suede and silk made for a blatantly lavish collection.

As far as describing her Fall 2015 muse, “she is quite eclectic, extremely eccentric, but still very bourgeois, very formal”, the designer says.
