Friday Fitness

I have this running list of haphazardly drawn stars next to things I need to do up on the giant dry eraser board in my room. I have way too many markers and they're all neon colored because I am an adult. I just finally crossed off "Mail Hair" after my 10-inch ponytail sat on my kitchen table for longer than anyone was comfortable with, and "1/2 Marathon Post" has been on there for a month at least. So here I am, telling you about my grand plans for half marathon training when my race is this Sunday.
This is my ThankBuddhaIshavedmyarmpits face.

At this point, I suppose my plan of action is: don't die. I didn't do a whole lot of preparing for my 15K and I survived that one, so maybe it'll work? The thing is, I have been training, kind of. I haven't mentioned it except for a #sweatyselfie Snapchat here and there (my username is marymackensie btdubs, in case you're looking for a newer, weirder way to stalk), but I've been hitting the work gym these days-- the days before I acquired an obnoxious case of sinusitis that is. I've been pretty pathetic, lying on shower floors trying to adequately submerge my head in steam and such. So even my treadmill time has been cut short.

Basically what I'm getting at here is, I'm ready to step my health game up again. I got busy with work, friends, romantic weekend getaways and all but forgot how to properly #paleofoodporn my Insta-feed. I'm starting off this newfound health spree with a half marathon this weekend--go big, am I right? But I'm hoping to figure out how to attain the coveted work, party, health balance. First step is practicing the whole food prep thing. I've never been great at planning ahead, so this will be a new thing for me, but perhaps I'll take you guys on the ride and you expert organizational freaks (cough, Jessi, cough) can help me out.

Expect to see lots more exercise, cooking (not just baking), healthy living posts (and let's be honest, parodies of them all as well) in the near future. Hopefully this Friday Fitness thing will become a thing, ifyouknowwhatImean.

Anywayyyy.. Once I started to feel better, here's what my week in fitness looked like:

Wednesday:
TIU Full-Body,
TIU Bikini Booty (my butt is still sore..)
Thursday: 4-mile run

Hate it? Love it? Any types of posts you'd especially like to see? Please let me know in the comments!
