:: RUNAWAY GENIUS ::

OK so I know that I am UBER late with this one, but from the moment I saw it I knew that I had to blog about it! Kanye West … there are many things that can be said about him, both positive and negative, but no one can deny the fact that he is a creative GENIUS! He had one of the most anticipated albums of the year and he definitely did not disappoint with this one! After seeing his short film, which tells the story of his ‘Beautiful Dark and Twisted Nightmare” through the songs on his album accompanied with amazing visuals, I knew that his album was definitely going to live up to all the hype and be, in my eyes, one of his best. I don’t even know where to begin with this one … there is just SOOOOO much beauty worth talking about! Ok I am going to pull myself together and calm down … weeks after seeing this masterpiece for the first time I am still dumbfounded by it’s AMAZINGNESS!!! Let’s start with my favorites: ‘The Phoenix’ – Selita E Banks. OMG! The costume designer deserves to be paid millions, because those feathers! The nudes, the browns, the blue-grays, and the creams combined with the burst of hot pink! Like are you serious?! Her make-up, those lashes, her hair! I was in heaven everything was PERFECT! She seriously comes very close to being as beautiful as an actual phoenix. The coloring of everything was so vibrant and vivid. So true to life .. The nature – the deers the sheep, the greenery, the scenery, everything juxtaposed against that crisp white was GORGEOUS! I LOVED the dinner scene in the abandoned warehouse with the crisp white linens and the gritty patina viridian green gated-wall. When the ballet dancers run in and take their cue and Kanye stands next to that white piano in his crisp white tuxedo … SPEECHLESS! I swear that I can go on forever talking about this work of art, but I will refrain and leave the rest for you to view and admire. Please let me know your thoughts, I would love to hear if anyone was impacted as much as I was. This video seriously made me go out and buy the album, and I definitely have no regrets! I think the entire album is great, but my favorite songs are: Blame Game ft. John Legend All of The Lights ft. John Legend, Dream, R Leslie, A Keys, Tony Williams, Charlie Wilson, La Roux, Fergie, CuDi, Rihanna & Elton John… wow Lost in The World ft. Bon Iver I love the fact that he collaborated with so many artists and explored different genres of music with this album. It is definitely one of the best albums in my collection.
