Oh. Hello Portland | Portland Youth Philharmonic

It's time to show some more city love. It's been a while, so sorry Portland.
Over the last month or so I became aware of the existence of Portland Youth Philharmonic ( which doesn't say a lot for me since it has been around since 1924! I'm a Portland transplant people).
As a parent who deeply believes and encourages arts in the lives of my children, I love that an orchestra of young people exists in this town. I love that their are people out there who provide an opportunity for young people to thrive in the musical realm, no matter their place in life or their financial standing. I love that they do it out of love for the art and love for those kids.
I am using the word love a lot, but that is only because I find it so fitting a word in this context.
Anyway, so many talented kiddos who make such beautiful music. How could that not be good?
So, this weekend I'm taking my kids to see these kids, because music should be celebrated, experienced and enjoyed.
By my kids. By me. By all.
Here's a little info on the upcoming show, you know, just in case you wanna come too. I'm am also pretty stoked about taking Little Mr. to the interment petting zoo! What a great chance for those little tiny humans to get excited about music!
