Jewel tone blouse to feel festive and seasonal with lightweight fabric to deal with the fact it’s in the 80s in December. Phew.
I bought this blouse 7 (!!) years ago at Zara when I first moved to DC for my job. I had never shopped in a Zara before and I thought it was such a cool-kids store. Even though it’s a pretty basic blouse I remember feeling awesome and slightly European each time I wore it.
Putting it on made me a little sentimental for the days of commuting to work in DC via the metro. As an eternal introvert who loves people watching – I loved the morning rush of all the suits and professionals headed off to the hill or some think tank or other exciting move-the-world sort of job. Those were really fun days!
