outfit post: red cardigan, white blouse, black cropped pants, teal necklace
Inspiration – Nine-Thirty to Five
Another outfit inspired by my absolute favorite & California closet twin Paloma at Nine-Thirty to Five blog! I didn’t know teal went with red but turns out I love them together!
We’ve had two really fun weekends in a row. For Mother’s day we had great family time – spending Saturday at Jacksonville Zoo & Jacksonville Beach and then Sunday on the boat on a beautiful lake with my parents. And this past weekend Hubby and I dropped Skylar off with my parents drove to Universal Studio’s Orlando for a grownup day of fun. (Harry Potter!!)
Fun weekends inspired me to try to figure out travel plans for the rest of the year – and as I started planning – I took a look back at my travel calendar so far for 2016:
- Paradise Island, Bahamas – Vacation
- Memphis, TN – Visit Bestie while working remote
- Columbus, OH – Work, Client
- San Antonio, TX – Work, Conference
- Breckenridge, CO – Vacation, Skiing with bookclub friends & husbands
- Ormond Beach, FL – Visit college roommates (weekend)
- Miami, FL – Visit Husband’s family for Easter (long weekend)
- Tempe, AZ – Work, Client
- San Antonio, TX – Work Client
Phew. Looking at how much I’ve been on the road over the past 4.5 months – it makes a little more sense why I sometimes feel like I can never catch up or get ahead at my normal daily life routine at home!
Little travel pro Skylar came on all but 3 of those trips. (Considering how much I travel – I’m really lucky & thankful that she is such an agreeable little companion.) For the times she didn’t come with me – we had a mix of husband, my parents, sister-in-law, my siblings, the nanny and a few babysitters cover all the days & hours – quite the scheduling feat to coordinate! I’m very very lucky to have so many people in my life who love her and take such great care of her!
Looking forward at travel – I’m thinking two adults only 3 day weekend trips this summer. Vegas in June and then Jamaica (where we got married – it’d be our 5 year anniversary!) in August. Yay fun!
