Sub Note Freebie!

"Being out for a day can be difficult."
That's the understatement of a lifetime for a teacher. Between finding a sub, typing up sub plans, and gathering all the necessary resources, it can be super stressful and very time consuming.
One thing I've noticed with my past couple of subs is the lack of communication. I come back the next day hoping (read that praying) my kiddos were on their best behavior and worked extremely hard throughout the day. But to my surprise - NO NOTE! I have no idea who did great and who needed redirection.
And yes - the kids are quick to tell me who wasn't on their best behavior. But I can't always take a six-year old at their word. Crazy, right?!
So in an effort to boost communication between myself and my sub, I created this sub note template:

It's a quick and easy way for the sub to let me know the highlights (and yes, maybe some lowlights) of their day. It also gives the sub a place to record absences, tardies, and other important notes.
