Masculine Birthday–CTD #413

Hey, there, everyone, it’s time for another Color Throwdown Challenge! Broni has an awesome color combo for us today—colors that go unexpectedly well together, IMO. And colors that are perfect for a masculine card—in which I was in need. Love it when a plan comes together ;-)

As is befitting a masculine card IMO, I went very CAS. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then worked on another piece of Sweet Tooth card stock on which I created my design. Using Kraft dye ink, After Midnight dye ink, and Orange Zest dye ink, I stamped images from Abstract Art for a background.

I cut Brushstroke Birthday Greetings Die-namics from After Midnight card stock three times, adhered them together with spray adhesive (LOVE this stuff!) and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue on top of some curled up silver thread. I added a sentiment from Label Maker Sentiments stamped with Kraft dye ink, popped up on foam mounting tape and finished off with some enamel dots.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD413 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd413 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented October Guest Designer, Erin Lee Schreiner!
