Thanks

Hi crafters! I have gone with a bit of a distressed look with this one. I embossed a piece of silver mirror card with the Jacobean Floral embossing folder. I used the Graphite Gilding Polish over the top of it and buffed it with a piece of kitchen roll. I lightly sanded the top of the design to remove some of the polish for a distressed look. I cut two of the Atlantic Ocean Borders out of coconut white card and faced them inward towards each other, offsetting them so they interlocked and I glued them to the bottom portion of the card. For the focal element, I cut the Azores die out of white and backed it with white, then cut another solid backing out of black. I cut that one in half and used it as a shadow. I stamped my sentiment and cut the inner die from the Cape Verde as a frame and used the slightly larger section as a decorative mat for the sentiment. I added them to the centre of the Azores die and attached it above the borders. For the floral element, I cut several of the Chrysanthemum die out of white card. I used a silver metallic marker to the tips and spritzed them all with water. I scrunched them up and assembled the flower from the pieces. I seated them on a black satin ribbon bow and added white leaves as accents. Two matching stick pins were added as embellishments. White, black and silver mats were added to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/2" in size.

I completely forgot to add that I am doing the One Day Special on Hochanda today at 9am, 1pm and 5pm. I do hope you can tune in, there will be loads of great demos! All for now, Sue x
