Photo Overload: The Ones That Didn’t Make The Cut (2)

Hey guys! How is your Tuesday going so far?

Today I have a fun afternoon post to share with you! Back in April I published a photo overload post that featured a bunch of pictures that never made it onto the blog in my day-to-day blogging routine. As I am sure you can imagine, as a blogger I have thousands of pictures saved on my computer and only a fraction of them ever appear on PBF, so these photo overload posts are a way for me to share some random “behind the scenes” shots taken over the course of the past month or two that made me laugh or smile.

And yes, many of them involve Sadie and her ridiculousness.

Photo Overload: The Ones That Didn’t Make the Cut

  • Sadie Putting Her Butt On Everything

I snapped this picture when Ryan came inside after spending two hours working in the yard. He collapsed on the floor for a breather and Sadie immediately walked over and sat on his shoulder. Ryan and I always joke that Sadie likes to put her butt on us every chance she gets so she can know immediately when we move and never be left behind. I’ve said it about a million times before, but this dog truly has zero concept of personal space.

  • Ridiculous Bump Photos

Please note the ridiculous sleep shorts and sandals. And Sadie’s overflowing toy bin that I try to remember to move out of bump pictures. Now you know why my bump photos are cropped after the belly. Ha!

I should probably do a whole blog post of baby bump photo outtakes because I generally ask Ryan to snap a quick bump photo for my weekly updates right when we’re about to leave the house. It’s not the ideal time, so they’re usually rushed and the above 29-week photo was taken right before we left for a Memorial Day cook out. I was wearing a dress, but quickly changed into the long gray “bump shirt” I wear for all my weekly bump pics and grabbed a pair of pajama shorts to throw on so it wouldn’t be a pants-less pic.

  • “Just In Case” B-O-Y Balloons

Back when I first told my girlfriends I was pregnant, my friend Merri’s dad suggested I take pictures with the B-O-Y balloons we already had on hand for my friend Leah’s baby shower just in case our little one ended up being a boy and we could use the pictures to announce the news! Well, as you know we are having a boy, but the B-O-Y balloon photos all turned out pretty horrendous and comical thanks to the wind, so we scrapped that idea, but the pictures definitely make me laugh! (We just need another “B” for BYOB. Fail.)

  • “Belly’s Out!”

Remember how I told you guys the belly likes to be free? Well here it is in all its glory! Ryan always likes to yell “BELLY’S OUT!” whenever I have my shirt rolled up and my belly exposed and it’s become somewhat of a joke in our house. My sister snapped this pic after a long day on the lake during my baby shower weekend. My girlfriends got a kick out of me telling them that I love exposing my belly in the privacy of our home and encouraged me to let it all hang out at the end of the day, so I did just that and we got a lot of laughs out of it! Naked belly!

  • All You Can Eat Hard Shell Crabs

When my family and I ventured to Gettysburg at the end of June, we spent Friday night together making our way through an all-you-can-eat hard shell crab dinner. We quickly realized how messy it can be to crack open a bunch of crabs, so we asked for bibs (no shame!) and got to work! The second picture is the “aftermath” when Ryan and Ross were clearly stuffed to the brim!

  • Fun with Girlfriends

I never shared and pictures from the Friday night before my baby shower in Charlotte and this is one my college girlfriends and I took together after dinner out by the lake at a wine bar in Davidson. Even though I stuck to water and ate Cheetos while everyone else sipped their wine, it was such a fun night! (FYI for my fellow moms-to-be: The dress I am wearing has been one of my maternity must-haves… It’s actually not a maternity dress at all but I ended up buying it in three different patterns from Nordstrom Rack because it’s so darn comfy and very light and breezy. <
