Read & Relax

Today I really got into sewing. Haven’t had a marathon sewing day in a while. Also, haven’ts sewn trousers for a very long time. All was going well until I tried them on. My calves are too big, you guys! Never in a million years would I have thought that my calves (instead of my hips) would become the trouble area. Well, I sort of fixed it. Only to rip a hole into the pants while unpicking a seam. NOOO! Why do such things happen?

To calm my nerves, I scoured the internet. Here are a few awesome things I found on the internet this week:

This article gave new life to my high school dream of sewing my entire wardrobe myself.

Here’s a list of 30 DIY tops and blouses. Let’s get stitching, shall we?

And, in between all those projects, don’t forget to clean your sewing machine.

This is the most inspiring article I’ve read. I had to check out her blog, and now I’m trying to consume less, and find ways to produce less waste.

Now that the tidy one in the family is away (hint: it ain’t me), I’ve been trying to follow this rule to keep the apartment looking livable.

Thrifting is definitely a key part of a waste-less lifestyle. Sheri made a funny video about why (not) to thrift.

To my fellow biz owners – raise your hand if you’ve ever been in a funk with your business. Here’s how to get out of it.

Last, but not least, Callie interviewed me for the monthly Meet the Blogger series.
