It’s officially summer in Cologne, and being a summer lover that I am, I’m enjoying every second of it. The bad news is, my summer wardrobe is looking pretty bare at the moment. When I moved, I left most of my summer stuff in Estonia, and although I retrieved a lot of it since then, I still feel like it’s a scattered mess of pieces that just don’t go together.

I’ve been thinking about creating a capsule wardrobe for each season. I know, everyone and their sister is doing it right now, but they’re also writing such positive reviews that I’m curious to try it for myself. So, last weekend I went through my closet and let hubby decide what stayed and what was out. I still have some weeding to do, so that there are a good choice of outfits to choose from, but it’s a start for sure.

Now I just need to sew up a storm to fill in those gaps in my wardrobe. But, I’m feeling rather excited about that.
