One of my favorite ways to eat a PB sandwich is with strawberry jam and bananas. Using fresh berries and serving it up on a stick just made me love the combination even more! My toddler, who reacts to sandwiches and bread with toppings of any sort much like I do to olives (RUN!!!), deemed these “dishous” and photo bombed the shoot.

Of course my little chickpea is far too young to be snacking off a stick, but that didn’t stop her from having fun carefully removing the fruit and toast squares off the stick and then sneaking off with it crammed in her mouth. Just the fact that it was on the stick in the first place was luring all on it’s own.

It’s also really handy if you need to grab your breakfast to go!

For a more sophisticated approach to getting toasted, there’s also a toast for that!

In fact it’s right here:

Guess who just ousted P as my new favorite hand model.

This bread, by the way, is AWESOME! Each seedy slice of Dave’s Killer Bread is certified organic, HFCS-free, non-GMO certified, and flecked with protein, fiber, and omega-3. All of the above make me feel great about eating it, but the fact that it is fluffy and flavorful makes me feel even better about reaching for a slice for my PB toast or piling it high with cheese and veggies for a killer panini.

The combination of creamy goat cheese with the sweet fig preserves, crisp juicy apples, crisp maple bacon, and the awesome seeded texture of the bread rocked my palate. I inhaled them both mere seconds after this last photo was taken and cannot wait to make it again!

So go ahead, jump on the bandwagon and get toasted!
