Festival to Every Day

As promised, I am continuing with the festival theme, but today's focus is all about how to take the boho-inspired feel of festival pieces and carry them into everyday wear. I personally don't want to purchase something that I can only wear once a year to a very specific event - I'd much rather buy versatile items that can be mixed & matched with my current wardrobe. So I'm sharing my picks from Old Navy's Spring Collection & giving you my styling tips for making festival style wearable for every day.
1) Add a dose of denim

A chambray shirt is something I wear year-round, but with the most frequency in the spring. It's an essential layering piece that you can style a million different ways, dressed up or down. Knotting it at the waist & pairing with an embroidered skirt gives this a festival-ready feel and the rugged worn-in boots finish off the relaxed vibe. Styling tip: This skirt also comes in black and would pair perfectly with an easy tank & cargo jacket.

2) Embrace bold florals & eclectic prints
Nothing says boho like flowy florals & pretty prints - this little dress is perfect for the season and I love that the straps are adjustable (so crucial for my long torso). It comes in 4 other gorgeous prints, 3 solid colors & is currently on sale! The addition of a cropped denim vest, colorful scarf straw hat pulls it all together and gives this pairing a polished look. Styling tip: another way I'd wear this dress is with a lightweight sweater layered over the top...especially great for those cooler evenings!
