A Day at the Sea by Perret Schaad

A quick jaunt to the Côte d’Azur: marine tones intertwined with golden hues, brilliant white and draping that the sea breeze breathes into place. Perret Schaad’s show was like a miniature mental vacation to Monaco, taking place in the garden of the beautiful offsite location Kronprinzenpalais, far removed from the fashion week mayhem in Wedding. Perforated silk in refreshing hues, elegant knotting and playful colour combinations resulted in a collection that I can immediately see Charlize Theron wearing.

Along with Vladimir Karaleev who also presented his SS 15 collection at the same location, these two shows specifically felt authentic to the bone. Far removed from trends and sealed with a personalized stamp per se, you know exactly who is behind the designs and what the intended message: no textile blah blah. Thanks for the mini vacation Johanna Perret und Tutia Schaad!
